Last day of the month today. Next, December coming up. Yeh, Christmas coming!! I have always loved this season.

Sale in shopping malls, gatherings with friends, many in relaxed happy mood, colleagues on holidays....

Although economy still remains uncertain, pay cuts continue, no pay leave continues..

But let us enjoy the month first. The worries can wait.

Discovered

I realised i cant eat when i am upset or stressed. Even when i am excited...

I have appetite when i am happy and relaxed.

This is different from some of my friends which will eat or shop to destress...

Might be a good thing to shift the focus to something else...

This week... gone in a breeze

It has been a crazy week for me... meetings, briefings, going to site, handovers..I am glad it is Friday.

Just a small incident today- MNC was back in SIN for a while before his next posting in CMB. He came to my office for familiarisation program. When he was finished, it was almost lunchtime and we chatted for a while.

Then it seemed that he is waiting for me to invite him out for lunch cos he and the BJS colleagues also brought me out when i was in BJS.

Unfortunately, i already have a lunch appointment hence i "acted blur" and just wished him all the best in his next posting.

I felt quite bad afterwards. He must have thought i am such a miser.

I won something!

I attended the aircraft briefing with my team members this afternoon, thinking it is just a regular update.

I didnt know there was a lucky draw at the end of it. My name (on behalf of the team) was the second person to be called up. Btw the prizes are all the same which are Philips DVD players.

Anyway i was abit surprised but still quite ready to go up. I thought it's not nice to let the presenter, which is a SVP wait for so long.

I shaked hands with him and even took a photo... Finally all the team leaders took a photo with the Management which would be posted on the monthly "outlook".

Refreshments also provided at the end.

I dont know the eventual fate of the DVD player.... My team members proposed selling it off and split the money.

Snowstorm

I was lucky the meeting in BJS ended early and GMC put me on the earlier afternoon flight back.

He called me the following day in the office and told me that my original flight was grounded because of snowstorm. The BJS runways had to close.

And i'll be stuck at the airport for the night, cant even go back to town because the roads leading to the airport would be closed as well.

I managed to escape this hence i could sleep soundly and comfortably in my bed that night.

Heng ah.....

Ma La Hot Pot

This time round, my meeting in BJS only lasted for 45 mins.

After that, there is abt 1 hour to go before lunch. Initially i wanted to check the office email but the PC was so slow that i gave up.

So i went to walk around the basement shopping mall within the same building and bought a pair of high heels at 40% off.

Went back to the office at abt 12.15pm. Thereafter had Super spicy Ma La Hot Pot with GMC and RMMNA in a famous chain restaurant situated along one of the wintery cold Beijing streets... shiok! The restaurant is called "Hai Di Lao".

Ingredients for the hotpot includes some unusual stuff ie. duck lungs, small mud-like fishes, duck blood plus the rest of normal items like beef and mutton. The fish is not to my liking though. It looks way too weird.

Weather was cold but very very refreshing. I love the feeling of cold breeze blowing onto my face.

I am going to BJS again!

Third time this year.. 15 July, 11 Sept and 9 Nov. Once in every season except Spring.

I am both excited and stressed. Excited because of the warm people and stressed because of the meeting.

Hope everything goes smooth.
