I still love travelling.

I am back from Seoul and am so glad i went although abit of unknown fear and apprehension before that. It was such a good (x 10) trip.

Korea is rather like Japan really except that the cost of living is much lower. Our meals were like less than S$10 each time for both of us! Its abt 1/3 of Japan meal.

I did alot of things for this trip- skiing, took the world's steepest rollercoaster alone, enjoyed hot spring, shopped at Dongdaemun & Myeong Dong many times within 2 days, stayed at a wonderful one bedroom serviced apartment near City Hall subway & also stayed in a cartoon themed room in Lotte World, had alot of authentic korean food, tried kimchi making....etc

Koreans are much more civilised than in the past. NO more pushing past you to get ahead. I also understand why they dont like the Japanese so much. They have been suppressed for so long and always seemed inferior to Japan. Even i used to think that they were wosre off until i changed my mind during this trip. Their culture is more acceptable to me now. I somehow even felt sorry for them that they had to fight so hard to prove that they are as good as the Japanese.

My local guide, Harry Choe is such a funny guy and a gentlemen. Helped us with taking photos, getting food and pulling luggage.

I wanna go back there again although i still cant make out their language and writing.

My only request is to stop korean food for the next one month. I had quite enough of Kimchi, at least for now.
