Arrived late into SIN last night, almost midnight. The flight landing was flawless, so smooth that if you dont look out of the window, you wouldn't have realised it.
A very nice experience to count down to 2008 in HKG. Myself and Ting, plus Fiona (my HK penpal) and her boyfriend Chris intended to watch fireworks at Avenue of stars, Tsim Sha Tsui side. However the crowd was terrible, every other Hong Konger is there to watch as well. So in the end, we had to change our location to the Harbour City. We managed to catch some glimpse of the fireworks. 10 seconds before midnight, countdown starts. I shouted out in english, then realised everyone else is shouting in Cantonese. haha. It was such so different. When the clock strikes 12, some people started dancing and wishing each other "Happy new year". As the Hong Kongers say, New Year, New Improvements.
Also took the terrifying cable car to Lantau island to see Big Buddha and went to the Mdm Tussaud's wax musuem at Victoria Peak.
Plus of course alot of shopping victories with a big hole in my pocket.
Nice trip, which i didnt expect since so many times there already.
