Hello i am back!
Very tired. Slept every night at 3am. In Macau, its because of casino and supper then in HK its drinking with Hui Ping's friend.
This trip is also my first encounter with Typhoon. It was signal no. 3 when we were in HKG, Tues night having dinner with Sam, Hui Ping's singaporean in HK. Then Hui Ping's HK friend, Angela called us and informed us of this Typhoon. She said that the HK weather observatory will issue a notice at 11pm that night. And we better go back to macau in case the ferry service get suspended when the typhoon signal is 8. And we cannot get back in time for our flight back to SIN.
So at abt 9pm, we were madly packing away and took a cab to the ferry terminal. But found out that the ferry tickets before 11pm were all sold out. They will not sell the tickets until the HK observatory issue the notice.
We had no choice but to buy from the "black market". Tickets that cost HK$156 was sold for $250. So we bought 2 tickets on the 10.30pm ferry to Macau. I was quite worried abt the "rockiness" of the ferry. And i almost always get sea sick. Luckily i had some medication with me and surprisingly the journey was quite smooth.
This was the exciting part of my trip. I heard that the signal no. 8 was hoisted at 11pm that night. So everyone will have to stay indoors and no school or work till the signal is lifted.
Other that this incident, nothing much happened- shopping, massage, meeting friends. Anyway i had little energy to shop too cos i was very tired with so little sleep every night.
Other than meeting Fion my HK friend for this trip, i also met up with my Macau penpal, Tammy. She was very nice, drive us around to a few places of interest and gave us a portugese dinner treat.
Hui Ping's friends are also friendly especially Sam which we stayed 1 night at her apartment in Central and also Angela, her ex-colleague which we met in Tsim Sha Tsui.
So alot of time for Casinos and friends but less time for shopping.
Now i am having sore throat due to the late nights :(
